The Best Way to Wash Your Intimates

How To Care For Your Bras
November 30, 2017

Delicate lingerie calls for delicate handling!  Make sure your favorites remain in good condition for as long as possible by following these tips:

How to wash
The best method is hand washing, especially when the garment contains silk or lace.   Use enough water to cover the bra and let it take a bath. No need for scrubbing.  Rinse in cold water then hang to dry.

Use a good detergent
When it comes to detergent, less is more! A good detergent will gently clean your underwear and protect the material and colors. We recommend a delicate fabric wash (Not Woolite which is for wool!). At Anna Bella, we recommend Fashion Care.

Don’t use a fabric softener!
Fabric softener is a bad idea! Even though your bra is made of delicate material, you should never use a fabric softener when washing. Fabric softeners stick to the elastane, which can make your delicates wear out.

How often should I wash?
We recommend washing your bra after every 2nd wear.  If you are in a warm climate, you will most likely need to wash it after every wear.
